Privacy Policy
Main Character Mindset (“the app”) is developed and published by Oscar Nuns (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what information the app handles, how it is used, and the choices you have. The short version: the app has no accounts, we do not collect or store your personal information on our servers, and the only third-party data processing comes from advertising (Google AdMob) and payments (Google Play), both of which you control.
Information we do not collect
The app does not require an account, login, or registration. We do not collect, transmit, or store your name, email address, contacts, location, photos, or any other personal information on any server we operate. We operate no servers and maintain no user database.
Information stored on your device
The app saves a small amount of data locally on your device so it can function, including:
- Your theme preference (light or dark mode)
- A randomly generated number used to personalize your daily quote order
- Your daily reminder settings (whether reminders are on and at what time)
- Whether you have purchased the premium upgrade
This data never leaves your device, is not accessible to us, and is deleted if you uninstall the app or clear its data in Android settings.
Advertising (Google AdMob)
The free version of the app displays a banner advertisement served by Google AdMob, a third-party advertising service operated by Google. To serve and measure ads, Google may collect and process data from your device, which can include your device’s advertising identifier, IP address, approximate location inferred from IP, and information about your interactions with ads. This processing is performed by Google under its own privacy policy, which you can read at https://policies.google.com/privacy. Information about how Google uses data from apps that use its services is available at https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
Your consent choices. If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or another region with similar requirements, the app will ask for your consent before any ad-related data is processed, using Google’s consent framework. You can change or withdraw your consent at any time from the privacy options inside the app. You can also reset or delete your device’s advertising identifier, or opt out of ad personalization, in your device’s Google settings (Settings → Google → Ads).
Removing ads. Purchasing the premium upgrade removes all advertising from the app permanently, and with it all AdMob data processing.
Purchases (Google Play Billing)
The premium upgrade is a one-time purchase processed entirely by Google Play. We never receive or have access to your payment card details, billing address, or other payment information. Google Play informs the app only of whether the purchase was completed. Google’s handling of payment data is described in the Google Privacy Policy.
Notifications
The app can send you one optional local notification per day reminding you that your daily quote is ready. This feature is off by default, is only enabled if you opt in, and can be turned off or rescheduled at any time inside the app or in Android’s notification settings. Reminders are generated entirely on your device; no notification data is sent anywhere.
Children
The app is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. The app contains no user-generated content, chat, or social features.
Data security
Because the app stores data only on your own device and we operate no servers, your data’s security is governed by your device’s own protections. We encourage keeping your device’s operating system up to date.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy — for example, if a future update adds a feature that handles data differently — we will update this page and revise the effective date above. Material changes will be noted in the app’s update notes.
